Having spent three glorious months in Arizona, it was time for us to move on to another state. After leaving the Chiricahua National Monument near Willcox, we decided our next stop would be Las Cruces, New Mexico. This would allow us to explore the White Sands National Park, White Sands Missile Range, and be close to Alamogordo to meet up with friends.
Since we needed a hotel to crash in and there wasn’t a Diamond Resort in the area, we looked to our next favorite hotel chain option — Staybridge Suites.
Staybridge Suites Las Cruces Review 2021
We’ve crashed at several of these extended stay hotels along our journey, including Staybridge Suites Palm Springs and Staybridge Suites OKC. Overall we’ve been please with this brand. The quality of the rooms and cleanliness of most of them make this a very good choice.
Staybridge Suites Las Cruces is located on 2651 E Northrise Dr. It’s just south off Highway 70 between Del Rey Boulevard and Venus Street.
The location of the hotel is in a decent area with plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. There are some awesome breweries a couple miles south on North Telshor Boulevard. Checkout Bosque Brewery or Pecan Grill and Brewery for great options! And if you need a quick pizza, just step out the front door and you’ll find a CiCi’s Pizza.
If you like to jog, walk, or hike, (especially after that buffet) there’s a large hiking field right across the street from the hotel — though it’s not the cleanest and you’ll see a lot of dog poop. But it’s still a good place to get out and exercise.
There’s really not much to write about here. The outside of Staybridge Suites Las Cruces is a nice area but not many frills as far as scenery, except the back of the property (east side) where you can see the Organ Mountain Range in the distance.
Inside the lobby it was very clean and well maintained. The “hang out” area where breakfast and dinner was served was spacious. And YES, you read that correctly!! We had wonderful and hot breakfast options every morning and they even offered dinner four nights per week … including authentic Mexican food.
I also want to give props to the entire staff I had the opportunity to visit with, especially the housekeeping ladies and kitchen staff. They were all so friendly, polite, and always willing to offer up a sincere smile. Thank you!
Finally, there is a laundromat on site, a business center, a fitness center, and of course, free WiFi.
We were upgraded to the two bedroom suite due to a booking error so we had PLENTY of space. The first bedroom has a king sized bed and the second bedroom has two queens, both comfortable and soft. It’s ample space for sleeping or to celebrate your love, if you know what I mean. 😉
The room itself was fantastic and very clean. The amenities were basic but really nice. Our living room overlooked the mountains and we had a great view when the sandstorms weren’t blowing. Having two desks to work from was also an added bonus since Donetta typically hogs the table for her stuff. Sorry, babe.
We always appreciate having a full kitchen since we prefer to cook and there was also a breakfast island to sit at.
There were no complaints regarding our room as it was perfect for us and our needs. OH, there’s also perfect hangout spaces that include cozy couches and chairs.
We stayed ten days at Staybridge Suites Las Cruces and the rates were reasonable. We paid $96 per night at the military rate for a total of $960 minus taxes.
Sometimes we’re able to get better deals for staying longer at these properties, but for all that we got compared to Comfort Inn and Suites or Sleep Inn for the same rates, Staybridge was a bargain.
As I wrap up the Staybridge Suites Las Cruces Review there isn’t anything I can think of that was a negative or reason for complaint. It has been one of our better experiences and we’d certainly hotel crash there again. If you want to enjoy hotel living, check out this place.
And for the first time ever, we’re showing you photos of the room with all of our stuff in it. Real life at it’s best.
